CORI Project

MLRI's CORI Project:

1. Produces trainings and information about CORI, and

2. Seeks to reform the law and the systems that have arisen because of it.

We no longer have a special voicemail box to receive requests from CORI-d individuals for advice and help. That function was transferred in January, 2008 to Legal Advocacy & Resource Center (LARC). The number to call is 617-603-1700.

The CORI Reader

 The CORI Reader is intended to be a useful and understandable -- but abbreviated and short --explanation of the law, structure, policies and practices relating to criminal records in Massachusetts. The main Massachusetts statute uses the term "criminal offender record information," which most people refer to by its acronym, "CORI."

The CORI Reader also includes sample documents and forms that you might encounter in handling a typical CORI problem.
